WHAT DOES IT DO?

A SNAPSHOT
OF THEIR
METABOLISM.

No needles. No blood draw. Insights you can discuss at the appointment.

PNOĒ measures oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide production through the breath. Its analysis helps explain how much energy a person needs, how their body uses fuel and, with exercise testing, how their fitness responds to effort.

PNOĒ advertises testing in approximately 8–10 minutes with immediate analysis. Choose a resting or active protocol around the question you want to answer; preparation and results review add to appointment time.

MAKE THE INSIGHTS PERSONAL

NUMBERS THEY
CAN USE.

Biological-age insight.

Give clients a different perspective on aging with PNOĒ’s estimated biological-age score, informed by fitness and metabolic indicators. A starting point for a conversation about habits and goals.

Energy and fuel use.

Understand resting calorie needs and fat-versus-carbohydrate use. Replace generic nutrition targets with a plan informed by the person’s measured metabolism.

Fitness and endurance.

Use an active exercise test to assess VO₂ peak/max and training thresholds. Help clients understand their current capacity and train with more purpose.

Available insights depend on the protocol and report. Biological age is a model-derived estimate, not a direct measurement of a person’s true age.

What does the body need at rest?

Resting metabolic rate and fuel utilization provide a starting point for an individualized nutrition conversation.

In practice: Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica lists a PNOĒ VO₂ max active test within its wellness offering. This is an industry example, not a BOLD client claim or confirmation of PNOĒ 2.0 use.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ASSESSMENT

What does biological age mean here?+

PNOĒ estimates biological age using fitness and metabolic indicators. It is one model’s interpretation of those inputs, not a universal age measurement or a comprehensive assessment of every organ.

Does every test include VO₂ max?+

No. Resting tests assess energy expenditure and fuel use at rest. Exercise VO₂ peak/max requires the appropriate active protocol. We help match the test and staffing to your audience.

Can we track progress through a program?+

Yes—retesting can track changes in the metrics assessed when preparation and testing conditions are comparable. A change alone does not establish which treatment caused it or prove the efficacy of red light, body contouring or another modality.

Does it replace blood tests?+

No blood draw is needed for this breath assessment. Blood tests measure different things and may still be needed. PNOĒ adds metabolic information; it does not replace medical diagnosis or every laboratory test.

What does PNOĒ 2.0 add?+

The new mask-based format brings testing into a compact system. We confirm available protocols, reporting, training, exercise supervision and subscription terms for the package you will actually use.

How long should we book?+

PNOĒ advertises approximately 8–10 minutes of testing. Allow additional time for screening, fitting, preparation, cleaning and a meaningful results conversation. Active testing and repeat visits may require different appointment lengths.
